 Instructions

 Step 01

1. Prepare the Beef: Pat the beef slices dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper. Set aside.

 Step 02

2. Cook the Rice: If you don’t have cooked rice ready, prepare 2 cups of jasmine rice according to package instructions.

 Step 03

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Set aside.

 Step 04

4. Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add half the beef slices in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and repeat with the remaining beef. Set aside.

 Step 05

5. Cook the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Pour in the prepared sauce mixture and stir to combine.

 Step 06

6. Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce until evenly coated. Cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through.

 Step 07

7. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked rice among serving bowls. Top with the garlic butter beef. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the skillet over the beef.

 Step 08

8. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro or parsley. Add red chili flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
